Johnny Cash Museum Nashville, Tennessee, United-states

A shrine to the man in black who couldn't Walk The Line. Unexpectedly touching and tender.

This isn’t a big place.  In fact it is probably the size of a small town movie theater from a pure square footage perspective.  But…and this is a big but…the amount of stuff on exhibit, from the costumes, to the memorabilia, to the movies and music videos makes this a multi-media extravaganza of all things “Cash”.  By going through the carefully curated history of Cash and his wife June Carter you actually come away with a better understanding about the shift in “country” music that Cash’ personal style created.  And you really understand their love story…I dare you to watch the video of Cash’s cover of the Nine Inch Nails song “Hurt” and not cry.  I dare you.
