This resort is excellent for large parties, group gatherings, or even just a small family get away!
Wilderness Cabins have a living room, full bathroom, private patio, charcoal grill and fully equipped kitchen. The Cabins are spacious enough to comfortably sleep 6 adults, and Housekeeping even does your dishes! If driving in you can shop at Publix right outside of Disney property and if you forget anything or need more of something you can pick up groceries and supplies from the Trading Posts. Bring your bikes and scooters to explore this extensive property, but if bringing isn’t possible you can also rent a golf cart or bike to explore the resort with ease. The buses also pick up from each cabin loop and bring you throughout the property or to the launch for the ferry for the Magic Kingdom.
The resort also offers campsites and these are some of the best value lodging options on Disney property. They offer 3 categories, ranging from full hook-up RV sites to basic pop up tent sites for those who want a true camping experience. There are dog friendly campsite loops as well, if your family pet is an integral part of your vacation experience.
There are 2 pools on property and the resort also features playgrounds, basketball courts and tennis courts. The campground also does movies under the stars every night with campfire singalong. View the Magic Kingdom fireworks from the campground’s beach, which is one of my favorite things to do because you can enjoy a beverage while relaxing and watching the fireworks without the crazy crowds at the park.
Why do I feel The Fort Wilderness Campgrounds are one of the top 3 places to stay at Disney?
1. Savings in food because of kitchen amenities both in camper and cabin save so much money on a disney trip.
2. The kids have so much space to run and play
3. Spending time relaxing at the campgrounds is one of our favorite things to do as a family
4. It’s a short and relaxing boat ride away from the Magic Kingdom
