Tucked in the northeast corner of the massive Portside Center on 17th Street, Day Market Kitchen is a fantastic and fresh addition to the scores of chain restaurants that dot the landscape near the Port of Fort Lauderdale.
Opening at 8am, they offer made-to-order breakfast sandwiches, wraps and omelettes and other breakfast-y goodness as well as a variety of coffee-based beverages. Lunch offerings include some seriously good sandwiches (from the healthier options to the decidedly unhealthy, but oh, so worth it…looking at you, Green Bay Grilled Cheese) as well a salad menu in addition to custom salads. As with breakfast, everything is made to order, so prepare accordingly since it is not a grab and go situation, though waits are not excessive in any way.
Day Market Kitchen also features their own house-made infused waters, including some really tasty sparkling options. They also offer a wide selection of cold-pressed juices and cold brew coffee, if you are so inclined.
Break free of the familiar chains for dining options near the port and indulge your midday foodie at Day Market Kitchen.
