Looking for luxury and romance (all guestrooms feature an in-room fireplace and complimentary bottle of wine) in the heart of the Napa Valley? Then pack your bags and head to Villagio for a truly memorable experience.
Rooms are scattered in various Spanish-style buildings throughout the resort and every one has a wood-burning fireplace, with firewood replenished daily. Large and comfortable, each room has a large soaking tub (suites feature whirlpool tubs) and Nespresso espresso machines (I ended up purchasing one for my home after my stay, the coffee is so good; nothing at ALL like the standard in-room coffee makers you usually get). Included with your stay is access to the hotel’s amazing buffet breakfast. During the week, the offerings are primarily cold selections (fresh yogurts, granolas, hard-boiled eggs, exquisite pastries, etc.) and the weekends bring a cooked-to-order omlette station as well as a waffle station. Fresh juices and a mimosa station makes this a perfect place to begin your day.
The spa is lovely and is housed in its own building that opened in late 2012. The hotel also has bicycles available for rent so you can enjoy a nice ride on the valley floor if you are so inclined. A plethora of restaurant options are just outside the door (Bouchon Bistro, Bistro Jeanty, Ad Hoc, Bottega, Redd, with The French Laundry located just down the street).
Steps away from all of your culinary favorites in downtown Yountville coupled with superior luxury and pampering, this property makes a stay in Napa a try getaway in every sense of the word.
