I don’t know about you, but I like to avoid crowds and lines o Mother’s Day. San Franciscans are all about waiting in line for HOURS. However, if you want to spend some quality time with your moms on Mother’s Day, here is a fun way to do it.
While most like a fancee sit down brunch, we love to go to my mom’s favorite breakfast spot, Jane. It’s in the Fillmore district and it’s cute, quaint, and the food is delicious. If you get there around 9:30-10:00, that’s when it starts to get busy. We usually try to be there around 8:00-8:30 to get a good spot. They have amazing baristas, so make sure to order a latte while you wait for your food. You really can’t go wrong with anything you order. Everything has it’s own unique twist and you can tell that the chefs personalize each item they make. “Hand crafted with quality ingredients,” would be the phrase I would use to describe Jane. If you are still needing some caffeine, bring a coffee with you to a great after brunch spot.
Post brunch, (if it’s a gorgeous day, of course), head to Crissy Field or Lafayette Park, as seen in another review. Bring a blanket, bocce ball, or any fun games, but most importantly don’t forget the dog. These are great places to spend the afternoon or walk around and spend some quality time together in a gorgeous setting.
And most importantly! Don’t forget to give your mama a kiss, that includes you fellow dogs. They do a lot for us!
