After a long flight with a layover, an eternity in customs and getting our rental car and heading to the Hotel Le Crystal Montreal, we were delighted to find ourselves immediately esconced in Montreal hospitality. Check In was welcoming and efficient and as we opened the door to our Suite we felt at ease. The suite had a large entry way and ample closet space to tuck our luggage out of sight after unpacking, the bathroom was spacious and luxurious with a super deep soaker tub and top end amenities.
What makes this hotel particularly family friendly is the set up of the main sleeping area with sliding privacy doors and the pull out with the kids in the living space. There is an option of a cot for when your kids don’t want to share or you have an extra one like we did. The kitchenette has basic dishes, a microwave and sink, and to my delight, a Nespresso coffee maker. Furry family members are welcome here and the bellmen and valets were quite taken with our furball, giving her lots of love. They even offered to walk her when we were out.
The furnishings, lighting, linens and amenities are all high end and don’t make you feel like you are sacrificing comfort or quality just because you are traveling with your family. Instead of being on top of one another in a room crammed with 2 double beds, you have an apartment with ample space that makes you still like your family after the first day-thereby increasing the chances of further travels…so that’s good.
The hotel has a Starbucks in the lobby, a lovely onsite restaurant, a great pool and spa and impeccable service. We were able to walk to all of the sights- from the University, to Mount Royal to the old port. Highly recommended for the type of traveler looking for a comfortable, upscale experience that is also great value. Hotel Le Crystal Montreal offers understated luxury and hospitality…perfect for anyone really.
