Tucked into a space that used to be a Chinese Schoolhouse you will find the sweetest, warmest restaurant in among the shops and produce vendors on lantern lit government street.
The first time we came here was in 2004. I remember my fiance-now husband ordering the rabbit ragout and thinking ewwww. But it so wasn’t. It was divine. And so was my trout. We were spoiled for choice with owner and sommelier, Marc Morrison’s surprising and surprisingly affordable wine list. There were many bottles under the $50 mark and they were all carefully chosen to go with Chef Sean Brennan’s simply and perfectly prepared French menu. We have returned each time we visit Victoria.
We have sent friend after friend to this restaurant on their adventures and all have come away waxing poetic about the food and their experience.
