Junkanoo is a street parade with music, dance and costumes in many towns across The Bahamas every Boxing Day (26 December), New Year’s Day. The largest Junkanoo parade happens in New Providence, the capital. Eleuthera has many settlements that have a Junkanoo on their independence day July 10th. All the locals and tourist come out to enjoy the live music, parade and amazing food!!!! 5 fritter for a $1!!! There are many other Bahamian foods available also at very minimal process as this is a great way for the locals to make some money!! This is a must do and eat if you are in town!!!
