This recently restored hotel and the adjacent Marigny Guest House which they also own is in an ideal location in the Marigny District. Stumbling Distance to Frenchmen Street and walking distance to the Quarter. We have stayed here a number of times and the rooms in the hotel proper are lovely, but we have always managed to book the double shotgun guest house that the hotel owns that is out the back and across the street. There are 10 rooms in the guest house with a large porch, and nice green space with patio furniture where you can chill out in total privacy. The rooms have been recently refurbished, clean, comfortable beds and beautiful hardwood floors.
The downside is the walls are so thin you can hear the person next door tie their shoes.
There is a Keurig Coffee maker in the room and little refrigerator so you can grab a few nibbles to keep in your room. The rate also includes a very light breakfast (think yogurt and pastries) in the main hotel. I say skip it, grab an apple for your pocket and head to Cafe Beignet or the coffee shop of Frenchmen for breakfast.
