Sister property to the Beach Club resort, the Yacht Club is a luxurious getaway in the middle of the Disney theme parks. The resort itself is huge, but manageable and shares many of its amenities and services with the Beach Club, including their standout feature pool, Stormalong Bay.
Staff welcomes you upon arrival and leads you to checkin, which is rather painless, especially if you use Disney’s Online Checkin service. Rooms are large and comfortable with the toilet and bathtub/shower in a separate small room from the double sinks and most rooms have a small balcony with two chairs and a small table, perfect for sharing a glass of wine with your sweetie after the children have gone to sleep.
The lobby bar (Ale & Compass Lounge) serves a continental breakfast each morning and offers a full bar in the evenings. The resort features two sit-down restaurants, Captain’s Grille for all-day dining, and Yachtsman Steakhouse for dinner. The Crew’s Cup Lounge is adjacent to the Yachtsman Steakhouse and has a light bar food menu with smaller plates from Yachtsman Steakhouse and is one of our favorite spots in all of Walt Disney World to grab a drink.
Like its neighbor, the Yacht Club is a fantastic respite from the Disney energy while having an ultra-convenient location to everything.
