Looking for a way to escape the convivial mayhem of the Disney theme parks pans still want to benefit from the amazing perks Disney World offers its guests staying at their own hotels? Then the Beach Club is the spot for you!
Themed like a New England Beach cottage, but without the musty smells of being closed up during the winters, Disney’s Beach Club Resort is categorized as of the the Deluxe Resorts on Disney property and is priced accordingly, but well worth it. You can literally walk out the resort’s rear entrance and are about 100 yards from the small entrance to Epcot, a location that earns its value in spades at the end of a long day when you want to get the family to bed as soon as possible.
Restaurants and other services in this resort are shared with the neighboring Yacht Club resort, but the best thing about this resort is the extensive resort pool, Stormalong Bay. A natural sand bottom, a lazy river (careful! the lazy river is 8-feet deep in some spots) a huge wading-pool depth area for younger children and non-swimmers and an enormous, winding waterslide make this pool a destination unto itself. This extensive facility is for the exclusive use of registered resort guests (they WILL i.d. you upon entry and give you a wrist-band to make re-entry easier, and note that the wrist-band color changes daily) and can easily entertain you and your family for an entire afternoon, if not longer.
Rooms are on the larger side and usually feature two queen beds and often a daybed, making it a good option for larger families.
All in all, the Beach Club or its near-twin sister, the Yacht Club are great options for keep your sanity in check while making the pilgrimage to Disney World.
