So, I ended up at the W quite by accident. Our air conditioner broke, really broke. Like custom-part-needed-to-be-made broke in the beginning of June, when it is already hot as balls in Fort Lauderdale. But honestly, I would go in and break that part again myself if it meant some time at this property.
A sleek and modern entry provides the gateway, but the actual registration desk is located a few floors above, accessible by elevator. Guestrooms are located in two towers, with the east tower featuring more ocean views. Rooms themselves are what you would expect decor-wise, very minimalist with lots of white wood and glass. Bathrooms feature a separate water closet and large walk-in shower with yummy Bliss toiletries.
There is a small café for breakfast and the lobby bar as well as the Steak 954 bar are great options for pre-dinner cocktails. Dinner at Steak 954 is a great option (ask to sit near the GIANT fish tank filled with gorgeous and mesmerizing jellyfish) and Randy Gerber’s Whiskey Blue is perfect for apres dinner drinks to wind down your night, all without ever having to leave the hotel.
Good for families too, but I would head to the W in a hot minute for a kid-free night in sexy splendor.
