Located in the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach, S3 (Sun, Surf, Sand) offers beach-goers and other diners alike great food at the beach without the beachside kitsch. Tapas-driven, the menu features many small plates as well as an extensive sushi menu (sashimi selections are not on the menu, but can be ordered if you ask). The brisket sliders are delicious, though I have never had anything that I didn’t like.
Solid wine list as well as an extensive cocktail menu and two bars are operational during peak times. On pretty days (which are most days, honestly), glass walls slide back into the corners and the restaurant is largely open-air, but true outdoor seating is available and most of it is under cover to offer protection from the elements.
S3 makes it possible to have a great meal out at the beach that never even mentions cruddy pizza or two-for-one drafts while still capturing a gorgeous view.
