So you have to get over the fact that this is in a non-descript strip mall. Because in Fort Lauderdale, that is kind of the norm. This bakery has been here for several decades and is now 4 times the size of the original. The pastries are gorgeous, which made me suspicious, because pretty desserts usually taste like wax and kitchen sponge in my experience. Not so here. Every single thing is excellent. Every. Single. Thing.
Go for breakfast, lunch or to pick up some gorgeous bread or pastries to have at home.
On Sundays they have live jazz on the patio. The Croque Monsieurs sell out – the trick is to call and reserve a Croque Monsieur. I am not shitting you. It is a secret thing you can do so that you make sure you have one. Once they are gone for the day they don’t make any more. And not eating one is a sin. Especially on a Sunday.
