We’ve all done it. Succumbed to hunger and the whining of children and ventured into the mall food court to keep body and soul together for the time being. Usually, the options range from greasy pizza to greasy chicken to greasy Chinese, but Pummarola, a newcomer in the landscape in Boca Raton, challenges the usual fare with authentic-style Neopolitan pizza and other pasta and Panini options. And it is good, really good. So good, in fact, that when I was back at the mall alone a week later right before Christmas, I grabbed lunch there again just to see if I had remembered it wrong, but, thankfully, I hadn’t.
Cooked to order in a large brick oven (not sure how that made it into the ventilation system of the mall, but obviously it works), the ingredients are top notch quality and suddenly a quick meal while running errands is no longer a tasteless necessity, but a true treat.
Other menu selections also look delicious, especially the copious use of Nutella in their desserts. They even sell Nutella in 3 and 5-kilo jars if you feel the need to carry it home at the moment.
