Like so many South Florida restaurants, The Farmer’s Table location might leave a bit to be desired. It occupies the main floor of a hotel and event space off in a pseudo industrial area. However, as you pull up and see the raised bed gardens full of fresh herbs and vegetables and the packed parking lot, even at lunch on a random Tuesday, you know that there must be something good on offer.
This restaurant has that annoying policy of not seating anyone until your whole party is there so as we were waiting for one guest who was delayed by traffic, we sat for 20 minutes notwithstanding that our late comer had told us to order for her.
The service was a bit delayed, and then rushed and haphazard with forgotten items, but could be explained by virtue of the restaurant being packed busy. Honestly the service is the only reason this restaurant didn’t rate higher because the food was savory, filling and at the same time very healthy with lots of vegetarian and gluten/dairy free options.
