Airports are always tough. Long lines, missed connections, lost luggage and generally poor choices for food make a long day of travel even longer. Elway’s in the Denver airport, however is a bright spot in travel if you are lucky enough to be passing through DEN.
Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, Elway’s has a solid menu and a good wine list too. Breakfast offers the classics, and yes, the bar is open (we do not judge, especially when Bloody Mary’s and mimosas are involved). Lunch and dinner have rather extensive menus with an emphasis on red meat (though the salmon is tasty too). I recommend the Short Rib “Off the Bone”, the salmon as well as the creamed corn as a side dish.
This is the one time you won’t hate a long layover. Go, enjoy, and have a glass (or two, whatever) and board your next flight well-fed and a little more relaxed.
