A classic old school restaurant with a distinct clubby feel, SteakHouse No. 316 offers everything you expect from a place like this with the extra touches you would expect in Aspen.
Starters are solid (get the onion rings, you won’t regret it) as are the salad options. But let’s face it, you are here for the steaks and they do not disappoint. Served in individual cast iron skillets and cooked expertly to order, the cuts are generous and delicious. Seafood additions and sauces are available too as are a cornucopia of side items a la carte. We dined with a rather large group and were able to sample most of the sides (the Boursin Creamed Spinach. Amazing) and they were all delicious. Order a few to share and split a steak (especially one of the larger ones) if you are just two people. Totally worth it.
Go, enjoy and then burn off the meal the next day on the trails.
