Even if you don’t give a shit about art or anything remotely cultural (and really, if that’s the case, then why are you even in Milan?), make this quiet convent a stop during your trip to see this piece in person. Completely walkable from the area surrounding the Piazza del Duomo, your entire visit (including walking to and fro) will probably take no more than 2-3 hours, as time in the room with the fresco itself is limited to just a few minutes per group. However, groups are small and you will have ample time to get up close and personal with this amazing work of art without feeling like you are being herded in like cattle.
