This restaurant has been in the same spot, serving the same amazing food for as long as I can remember. It is in a crappy nondescript strip mall, and the decor is kind of sad. Plastic flowers on the table and Christmas lights strung up all year round – though they have tried to spiffy it up in recent years.
The service can be great, or not–and sometimes humorous in its disorganization. One time we got our bill before any of our food arrived. But the foooooooooood! The best Pad Thai I have ever had and great curries of all kinds. The thing that keeps bringing us back, the thing we sometimes will go and have on its own, is the Dirty Bitch Soup. Oh wait, it isn’t really called that. Sorry. It’s the Tom Yum soup. Plump shrimp, fresh mushrooms, tomatoes and kafir leaves in a broth so tangy and spicy that it makes your taste buds sing. It also makes your nose run and gives you the sweats. But it is so good that you can’t stop eating it. Hence the name.
